    Beckenham has been home to many famous people such as Enid Blyton, Bob Monkhouse and the five original members of the Beckenham Salon, (shown here) a group of young composers, musicians and poets who gave concerts 1949-1953. A list of famous people can be found on this page

    The George Inn, over 300 years old, and the attractive crescent of 20th Century buildings in the town’s High Street is just one of many historical places in Beckenham. More can be found on this page  
  • Events 

    There are many varied events going on In Beckenham such as the South London Singers in Beckenham Methodist Church in 2013. This concert was the last conducted by John Nightingale after 25 years in charge. More past and currents events are shown on this page.
